Out of the box you'll be able to create special effects and visualize them immediately through the use of the FxStudio real-time preview system.
The reference applications are standalone, they are provided with full source code and represent a great place to start building your special effects library. Or, if you already have existing functionality that you'd like to take advantage of - use the standalone reference application as an example of best practice.
The reference application contains a gamut of components ranging from particle systems to sounds, to screen effects and camera shakes. The components are provided as building blocks for your special effects and designed specifically to encourage creativity amongst artists.
